Despite some media reports, the worldwide demand for plastics continues to rise and Europe remains one of the most important production locations in international comparison. Of course, topics such as circular economy and plastics recycling have a great influence on the industry. By 2030, the re-use and recycling rate within the EU is expected to reach 60 percent.
