We are thrilled to share the journey of our recent client success story, where we successfully implemented SAP IBP PoC to optimize client’s SCM and drive significant operational improvements 🚀

We would like to present a case brought forth by the Mattoni 1873 group, the leading producer of soft drinks in central Europe. Operating across 5 countries with 11 production plants, the company faces the ongoing challenge of optimizing its supply chain to ensure transparency and efficiency in all departments involved.
To address this critical need, Mattoni has partnered with concircle to discover the SAP Integrated Business Planning service package. Our company was pleased to provide a low-risk and low-effort opportunity to explore the capabilities of the system.

The IBP package offered included the setup of the IBP Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) module, complete with relevant testing data. The goals were to learn the best practices in S&OP processes using Mattoni’s own data, gain comprehensive insights into the capabilities of SAP IBP, and identify any potential gaps before committing to a full-scale implementation.

The collaboration yielded excellent results: through the active participation of Mattoni’s business users, a comprehensive fit-gap analysis was conducted.

POC process took 6 weeks including user training series, where we actively worked with the users on creating scenarios and simulation of changes, checking on how aggregation and disaggregation functionality work, how the changes can be tracked and the figures can be frozen for editing, much effort was done on template personalization that can be a great help for planners and reviewers, talked about copying of history from phase-out products to new SKUs in order to forecast them properly, checked how we can plan in house production in purchased goods, spend some time on production planning features, safety stock, days of coverage, aggregation to campaigns and created alerts for example to track gaps between forecast figures and actuals.

The success of this endeavor can be attributed to the collaborative efforts and active engagement of Mattoni’s business users. By bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business goals, we have forged a productive partnership, resulting in clear expectations and practical utilization of the SAP IBP system with real data.
