After giving some first insights on SAP DMC POD Designer and Standard PODs in our previous DMC posts, this time we want to talk about custom extensions in Digital Manufacturing Cloud.
Custom extension in Digital Manufacturing Cloud is often presented as a challenge in implementation projects. Therefore, it was a motivation for concircle’s experts in the manufacturing team to investigate this issue.
After the participation of our manufacturing experts in the SAP DMC Extensibility Bootcamp in the fall of 2021, the SAP DMC POD was extended with a custom development so that the work instructions can be displayed in the form of videos in a POD plug-in. This solution now allows videos to be viewed on the POD in the same way as instructions as a PDF, image or 3D model. To improve the UX, buttons for navigation have also been added to the Work Instruction Viewer.
