Manufacturing companies are often faced with the challenge of reconciling profitability and sustainability. In this context, the concept of the circular economy is becoming increasingly relevant. In order to meet legal and economic requirements, forward-looking projects are of crucial importance.
As an innovative partner to leading production companies, we actively participate in various research projects. One current example is the BePro-CEND project. This transnational initiative, in which research institutes and companies work together, aims to support manufacturing companies in implementing the principles of the circular economy through the targeted use of data. Our concircle experts are contributing their extensive expertise in the areas of ERP and MES systems as well as many years of experience in working with manufacturing companies.
The project comprises several work packages, one of which is aimed at developing a traceability system for the supply chain of SMEs. The objectives of this work package are
- Establish data exchange with suppliers and customers
- Traceability of transports
- Traceability and transparency in the supply chain to comply with specific standards
- Traceability at serial and batch number level
- Automated and user-friendly compliance with supply chain requirements
- Optimal preparation for audits
To achieve these goals, concircle works closely with its project partners from the manufacturing industry to analyze their specific requirements. At the same time, legal requirements are examined in order to develop customized solutions that pave the way to a sustainable future for companies.
