🔙 BEFORE: We had a catalog of personas for constructing our role collections, for example: Operator, Supervisor, Key-User, Manager, Admin, and then connected them to the specific Plants. It all seemed simple until we encountered scenarios where users required slightly more or slightly fewer rights than all 🤔
✅ NOW: 2305 update with 16 Object-Based Role Templates – Users can now have Persona Templates assigned or no Persona Template at all and still have access and rights to Digital Manufacturing.
So how does this help?
👩🔧 The user and challenge: A technical figure from the production facility which is continuously maintaining and taking actions on the Data Collections and Work Instructions. In this case none of the above-mentioned default personas are suitable.
👍 The solution: With the help of Object-Based Templates for Data Collection and Work Instruction the right collection of rights can be constructed.
