Our Mátyás Sajtos has just completed a two-day course about #machineconnectivity and #customdevelopments in #SAP #DMC.
During the course, topics such as the process designer, an #MII transaction like custom development tool, and the machine model framework were covered.
The major part of the course was about the #machinemodel in #DMC.
The machine model is the virtual clone system of DMC, which means you design equipment, hierarchies, and indicators. The equipment is assigned to resources and the indicators are connected to OPC UA tags.
The indicators/tags can then be written directly from the DMC or they can be used as real-time indicators in dashboards or can be monitored for changes that trigger production processes.
The process seems to be quite straightforward, but we know from the experiences of Sara Julie Schieck, that the hard part is again the connection between the cloud (DMC) and the on-premise (PCo) systems.
