The constantly growing global competition leads to increasing product variety, shorter product life cycles and high cost and quality pressure, which is why companies are constantly forced to optimize their production and make processes more efficient. Due to the increasing number of variants, manual assembly systems are also being used more and more, as people with their cognitive abilities, perceptive faculty and specific skills can adapt flexibly and quickly to new conditions. However, this also results in higher physical and mental stress for employees.
