With this seminar, Concircle Österreich GmbH and Fraunhofer Austria Research GmbH want to give you practical “tips and tricks” to find the right entry point for digitalization projects based on your own situation and to set the right measures.
After practical presentations and industry examples (including the global MES implementation of Bühler AG), the vivid demonstration of a highly digitalized production in the pilot factory of the Vienna University of Technology (consisting of an SAP ME/DMC MES landscape, SAP HANA/S4 incl. conOS detailed planning and SAP EWM warehouse system) will round off the exciting seminar day.

10.00 – 10.30 Impulse presentation
Digitalization – How and where do I start? Why does a maturity model for digital production make sense? What approach can be derived from it to make your production more efficient in a targeted manner? Thomas Edtmayr (Head of Assembly Planning and Assistance Systems Fraunhofer Austria) and Konrad Pfadenhauer (Digital Process Architect at concircle) will open this exciting, practice-oriented topic day with answers to these questions.
10.30 – 12.30 Development path of production planning from Excel to the integrated planning system
Using industrial planning processes as an example, Farhang Akhavei (Teamlead Manufacturing Consulting at concircle), Selen Marangozoglu (IT Consultant at concircle), and Lukas Lingitz (Head of Planning Systems at Fraunhofer Austria) will show how to approach a solution step by step that is right for your own organization and requirements. Concrete solutions will be presented, from a smart tool for learning planning strategies to an intuitive SAP add-on for detailed planning.

13.30 – 14.30 Development Path: Production Execution
Amrit Khanna, Digital Officer SCM at Bühler AG, the world market leader in food processing equipment from Switzerland, will report on how his company approached the “paperless manufacturing” project. From the strategic objectives to the functionalities of the implemented MES solution, he will provide exciting insights into a journey that is far from being over.
14.30 – 15.30 Development Path: Assistance systems
Fraunhofer and concircle are continuously working on making digital assistance systems more efficient, especially for complex assembly processes. The process begins with the simple creation of work instructions and ends with the optimal design of worker interaction. Gerhard Reisinger (consultant at Fraunhofer) and Melissa Brunnbauer (Manufacturing IT Consultant at concircle) will guide us through an integrated process using clear examples.

15.45 – 17.00 Production Execution & Assistance Systems
Experience digital manufacturing processes in the CNC environment in combination with assembly stations in the Pilot Factory of the Vienna University of Technology. During this guided tour in small groups, you will have the opportunity to get ideas for your projects and to talk to the experts on site.
