How SAP Integrated Business Planning or IBP as a planning tool could be useful?
SAP IBP was implemented to deliver a custom integration process that considers the different shelf-life requirements of the materials and plants and the actual shelf-life periods of the batches. We allowed the client to key-in individual business partners’ shelf-life requirements to really differentiate their priorities when it comes to the shelf-life of the products. We have also activated supply chain alerts to calculate wastages, could be tagged as non-saleable or expired which can also be translated to financial value.
SAP IBP helped to align different types of plans considering production quality control time. Regulatory requirements make it highly important to set up a process, including operations, and control the planning accordingly. Aggregated planning helps to use the resources efficiently, working in campaign mode allows the to share the equipment and resources, therefore saving time.
